The Japanese government should do more to protect the environment for the following two reasons.
First, natural resources are limited and therefore the Japanese government should take measures to reduce the use of natural resources. After the huge earthquake in 2011, many nuclear power generation plants stopped working. This means Japan imports more fossil fuels and burns them to produce electricity. To avoid this situation, the Japanese government should subsidize the development of renewable energies.
Second, the Japanese government should export environment-related technology to developing countries, especially to China. Chinese factories emit many pollutants and they often reach Japan. These pollutants are serious problems both in China and in Japan.
In conclusion, the Japanese government should support the development of clean energies in Japan and help to reduce the pollution in developing countries. (133語)
