Some countries do not have enough financial resources to store donated blood and blood products in refrigerated facilities, which prevents hospitals from providing adequate healthcare services. The shortage of blood and blood products seriously affects not only critically ill patients but also pregnant women and people suffering from chronic illnesses. The mortality rate among the latter is increasing. One solution is to establish a system in which volunteer donors can donate blood immediately when needed. However, one concern is that diseases may be transmitted through transfusions. To address this issue, thorough blood testing is crucial. However, implementing these procedures reliably may be difficult in areas with limited resources.

Governments may not be able to ban the sale of single-use plastic products immediately. However, I believe that they should do so in the near future.
First, banning the sale of single-use plastics contributes to preserving ecosystems. Many plastic bags, straws, and containers are thrown away after being used only once, and a large amount of this waste ends up in rivers and oceans. As a result, marine animals often mistake plastic for food, which can injure or kill them. Reducing single-use plastics would help protect ecosystems and wildlife.
Second, it may become difficult to continue manufacturing single-use plastic products in the long term. Oil is necessary to produce them. However, some countries have difficulty obtaining oil steadily. For example, countries such as Japan, which rely heavily on imported oil, may face supply disruptions due to conflicts in the Middle East.
Third, prohibiting the sale of single-use plastics helps keep places, especially tourist attractions, clean and beautiful. Unfortunately, some tourists throw away plastic products wherever they go. If reusable bottles and containers become more common, people may litter less frequently.
In conclusion, governments should prohibit the sale of single-use plastic products in order to protect ecosystems, reduce dependence on unstable oil supplies, and keep public places clean.
