Public transportation systems have suffered from financial shortages because fare revenues are insufficient to cover operational costs, while raising ticket prices risks deterring passengers. This lack of funding leads to delayed maintenance and reduced reliability, driving commuters away from public transportation. Consequently, declining ridership further reduces revenues, forcing operators to implement service cuts in a self-reinforcing negative cycle. Although increasing government subsidies through taxation is frequently suggested to stabilize fares and fund improvements, this approach faces political resistance, strict fiscal limits, and restrictions that often limit the use of these funds for daily operations.

I believe that free access to clean water should be a fundamental human right.
First, clean water is essential for maintaining our health. Without access to safe drinking water, people are more likely to suffer from serious diseases caused by contaminated water. This problem is especially severe in developing countries, where many communities lack reliable water treatment systems. Providing free access to clean water could therefore prevent illnesses and improve people’s quality of life.
Second, providing free access to clean water promotes economic development and reduces poverty. In many developing regions, individuals spend hours every day collecting water, which keeps children out of school and adults out of the workforce. When clean water is freely accessible, communities can redirect their time and resources toward education, employment, and local economic growth.
Third, guaranteeing access to clean water can contribute to world peace, which everyone in the world should be able to enjoy. If a government struggles to secure clean water, this may lead to geopolitical tensions and conflicts over scarce resources. If all the nations secure sufficient water supplies, such a disastrous future will be prevented.
In conclusion, for these reasons, I firmly believe that free access to clean water should be guaranteed as a fundamental human right.
