Ⅰ
I believe that the purpose of higher education should be to prepare people for their role as workers in the modern economy. I think all the academic fields, especially science and technology fields, have developed rapidly and will continue to develop in the future. This means that it is beneficial for university students to acquire more sophisticated knowledge and skills, which are taught probably only in universities, before starting working. If more people have more useful knowledge and skills, they can surely contribute more to the society. I believe this is what most of the people desire.
Ⅱ
First, people in developing countries are more likely to spend money on basic and secondary education than those in developed countries. This probably means that most people in developing countries have to give up higher education for financial reasons. Second, in Denmark and Finland, people don’t spend much money on higher education. This is because university tuitions are free in these countries. In other developed countries, people seem to spend much money on higher education because university tuitions are high.
Ⅲ
不安全な食べ物を食べた結果、病気になったり命を落としたりする人は多い。この問題は途上国において深刻で、不安全な水、不安全な食料生産・取り扱い、食糧貯蔵設備の不足、不十分な基準、農業様式の変化、熱帯気候が、食の危険につながっている。途上国では、食に伴う病気がさらなる貧困につながる悪循環を生んでいる。食に伴う病気にかかりやすいのは、免疫が弱い人たちだ。病気になった子供たちは自身の能力を発揮する機会を失っている。そして、食に伴う病気の問題は、個人の問題を超え、経済発展にも悪影響を及ぼしている。
