A1: Look! Watanabe looks pale. I wonder if he didn’t sleep last night.
B1: No. I hear he came back at midnight from his business trip in London.
A2: That must be tiring since he also had a meeting early this morning.
B2: Although working is important, it’s meaningless if he gets sick.

(B)
It is true that some countries already abolished the death penalty. However, I don’t think that the Japanese government should abolish it.

This is because severe punishment serves as a deterrent for serious crimes. For example, in India, serious crimes have decreased dramatically after the government introduced the severe punishment.

However, some people might argue that the capital punishment should be abolished from a practical point of view. For example, in his 2015 article “The Death Penalty Reconsidered”, Max Ornot argued that some people might be executed due to human errors. I agree with him to some extent. However, in this world, there is definitely an extremely evil person, for example, Mr. Shoko Asahara. He and his subordinates killed many innocent people. Why should we keep him alive? The capital punishment is necessary to execute this kind of evil people.

In conclusion, the capital punishment is necessary to decrease serious crimes and execute totally evil people.
