These days, traditional Japanese arts are becoming increasingly popular among young people because they want to learn more about their own culture and explain it to foreign people. They have many opportunities to mingle with foreign people and sometimes have to explain their own culture.
Concerning your second question, I think mascots are useful to promote cities and towns. For example, Kumamoto has become popular thanks to its mascot Kumamon.
Regarding your last question, I believe it’s better for children to grow up in the countryside. Children can learn a lot from wild animals and plants there.

毎度のことだが1の語彙問題が他の問題に比べて難しい。語彙で解けない部分を他の問題で補うような戦略がいいだろう。

英検準1級として平均的な語彙問題。
(8) の stale はやや難。「新鮮でない」の意。
(25) の go for もやや難。「取りに行く」の意。
全般的に大学入試最難関レベルからそれよりやや上のレベルの単語が出題されている。

長文の空所補充。標準的な大学入試程度のレベル。

長文の内容一致。やや難しめの大学入試レベル。配点が高いところなので、確実に解きたい。

メールの質問に返信する形の英作文。聞かれたこと3つに答えればよいので、練習しておけば、かなりの点が取れるだろう。
リスニング
難関大学入試レベルのリスニング。
No.24, No.25がやや難。
リスニングは問題演習だけだとなかなか実力が伸びない。CDに合わせて音読し、英語の音に慣れるのが大事。
