I think that the labor shortage will be a serious problem in Japan in the near future. Recently, the birth rate has been declining and will continue to decline in the future. This means that the number of young people will decrease and our society will face labor shortage. To address this problem, Japan should accept more refugees as workforce. This is also meaningful from the humanitarian viewpoint.（68語）

When an ant is crawling in front of you, you may crush them for no special reasons. However, you feel reluctant to kill them once you understand that ants have the history of billions of years and the ants are based on such a long history.
(B)

Artworks have creators and receivers. Why do we create artworks? Why do we seek and receive artworks? Artworks definitely have something beyond our understanding. This is true not only for creators but for receivers. Creators make something they themselves can’t understand. However, the part that creators can’t understand is not an unnecessary thing but something in which we find the power and soul of art.

Ⅰの英文和訳は標準的。
Ⅱの長文読解は標準的。設問(1)(A)、設問(2)(ⅳ)、設問(4)(b)はやや難。
Ⅲの自由英作文は自由度が大きく書きやすい。
Ⅳの和文英訳はやや難。(B)（イ）が特に書きにくい。日本語をそのまま英語に置き換えようとしても難しい。元の日本語がどういう内容を言っているのかよく理解し、その内容をどう表現したらいいかをしっかり考えよう。
